FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping

This qualification reflects the job roles of workers in the accounting industry, including BAS Agents and contract bookkeepers; and of those employees performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries. It includes preparing and lodging business and instalment activity statements, and providing advice or dealing with the Commissioner on behalf of a taxpayer in relation to activity statements. Individuals in these roles apply theoretical and specialist knowledge and skills to work autonomously, and exercise judgement in completing routine and non-routine activities.
Entry requirement
The students in the FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping will be Students from overseas, they will have met our entry requirements of:
-Student Age: Students must be aged 18 or above at the time of enrolment
-Academic Requirement: Have a minimum a Year 12 or equivalent or higher education
-English Language Proficiency: IELTS level of overall 5.5 or higher or have completed an approved English test
-Course Attendance: Students are required to attend all classes, 20 hours per week as scheduled in order to meet mandatory course attendance requirement
-Learner Resource Requirement: Student must have proper electronic tools to access student online portal and online resources such as E-Books.
-Pre – Enrolment interview: All prospective students are required to participate in an interview with one of the Student Support Officers of ATQ College. The outcome of this interview together with the outcome of the LLN test report will be forwarded to the VET Academic Manager to assess their suitability & capacity to undertake the course. The interview may be in person or via the phone/skype.
-LLN: Completion of Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test (LLN test) of ATQ College.
-Technology and literacy requirements: Learners will need access to a computer and the internet with the following specifications:
-Microsoft Office 2007 or above and-Microsoft Windows 2000 or Mac OS X
-Learners will also need access to a printer and the following applications: Adobe Acrobat Reader and Macromedia Flash player.
-Sound computer skills are required that include using intermediate level Word features. Ability to produce and present word-processed documents/ reports and undertake internet research.
-As part of the learning cycle students may be required to undertake online research or activities each week in class during term time.

Total 52 weeks
40 weeks study: 4 terms x 10 weeks of study
and 12 weeks break

-Classroom (Face to face): 20 hours per week
-Self-paced Study(Online): 10 hours per week
