CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff.

Entry requirement

The students in the CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care will be Students from overseas, they will have met our entry requirements of:

  • English Language Skills
  • Be over the age of 18
  • Have achieved an equivalent of the Higher School Certificate or equivalent


Course Duration

Total 104 weeks

– 8 terms x 10 weeks of study at 20 Hours per week
– 24 weeks of holidays

Compulsory Workplace Training: In order to successfully complete the minimum requirement for this course – 240 hours of work placement must be completed by students during the holiday break and/or within the course duration. If a student wishes to meet the requirements of the Skill Assessment Authority (Trades Recognition Australia), a minimum of 360 hours of work placement must be completed.
