CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50113) is a nationally recognised and accredited child care qualification which prepares you to work in a range of early childhood settings with children up to five years of age. It is suitable if you are just starting a child care career and if you are developing and formalising your child care abilities. You will learn about the about the intellectual, social, emotional, physical and educational needs of children, how to support their rights and safety, and the wellbeing of infants.

Entry requirement

The students in the CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care will be Students from overseas, they will have met our entry requirements of:

  • English Language Skills
  • Must be aged 18 years old or above at the time of enrolment
  • Have achieved an equivalent of the Higher School Certificate or equivalent
  • IELTS level of overall 5.5 or higher or have completed an approved English Test

This course has a mandatory workplace training component. Students are required to complete a minimum of 240 hours of work placement between Term 3 and Term 8 over the two year duration of the course. ATQ College will assist students find a work-placement or students may elect to nominate their own work-placement, to be approved by the RTO. This is in addition to the 20 hours per week of face to face training.

All the listed units competency must be completed to receive the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
